A Girl's Guide to packing 101

Since I am doing a sort of "back packers" trip for three weeks in New Zealand, I have to pack light and smart. Here is a guide for what I think are the essentials for any traveling lady:

1. Graphic t's- great to pair with yoga pants for day time hikes and jeans for evening
2. A few light dresses that can be used as a swim suit cover up or paired with wedges for a night out
3. Flannel - Good for layering and keeping warm on chilly nights
4. Army jacket- goes with everything and light enough to layer!
5. A light sweater
6. Shoes (my weakness)- one pair of running shoes, one pair of wedges, flip flops, and high tops for a cuter alternative to your sneakers
7. Rain jacket- 'nough said
8. A bikini
9. Yoga pants- when you're on a bus for such long periods of time, jeans can get uncomfortable
19. Your favorite book- On the Road only seemed appropriate
20. Camera(s)- snapshots of memories

Packing for Sydney on the other hand, is a different story. The amount of shoes probably adds up the amount of clothing I'm bringing to New Zealand. oops.
